MFL is a Foundation subject at KS3 (Year 7 and 8).  All Students will study Spanish from Year 7 with the opportunity to continue to GCSE from Year 9.  In Year 9 they may choose to study French or German to GCSE.  Details of the qualification can be found on the OCR exam board website.

Assessment is by National Curriculum Levels, with most students being expected to achieve level 6 by the end of the Key Stage.  We have a dedicated computer suite and use a variety of websites.  Students are able to access these from home to enhance their learning and help with homework.  The links can be found HERE.

Homework is an essential part of work at KS3 and KS4.  Students are expected to put in about 30 minutes of homework time per week.  Homework is set via ShowMyHomework once per fortnight.  Homework tasks are often to revise the grammar and/or vocabulary learnt in class.  Some homework may be worksheets or project based.
